MY NEW BIKE FIND TODAY!

These pictures aren't very good.  I just couldn't wait to post my new find today.  This bike reads Arnold Schwinn & Co.  PACKARD Chicago USA.  That is what is on the head badge.  I don't know what year or anything else about this bike and it may not be all that.  It is one of my favorite bikes.  Please post your comments about this bike if you know anything at all.  By the way, my son Jason usually gets the nice bikes so I am proud to get this one.

WHEEL DISC I WON ON EBAY

I got these for the build off bike. I thought these would be cool to make my bike wheels look like the old stock wheels on my racecar! Of course I will have to paint them Black!

FOLDING BIKES I PICKED UP TODAY***SOLD****

Check these bad boys out! I got a great deal on these! Me and Bethany will be SO CUTE on these. Had to clean them up a little!****SOLD****

ALL AMERICAN BOMBER STARTED

This was just a ruff idea of what I am doing. I was just seeing if I could get it together and what I was missing. After this pic I changed the front fork and wheel! Can't wait to have a day to pound on this some more! I still have several parts to add and or change as well!

FRAMES FROM KENNY

These are the frames I got from Kenny today. I was going to buy the Purple colored one from him for the build off. But he had the other one too, and it may work better for the project!

PICKED UP A FEW THINGS TODAY

I am having some picture problems at the moment, so I will just tell you about them. Me and my dad drove up to Henderson today and I picked up some stuff from Kenny from the Muscle Bike Forums. I got a 66' ? Sears Spyder frame and fork, and Murray Eliminator frame, and lots of part, bars, sprocket, crank, tire, light, and so on. It was very nice to get up there and meet Kenny. On the way back we went by my dads friends Flea Market. He had two folding bikes that I had looked at before, so I asked about them again. I he let me take them and all I gotta so is pay $50 on some shoes for him later.! So I got some cool stuff today from some cool people that really helped me with my HABIT! LOL. Thanks Kenny, Gary, and my dad!

BUILD OFF UNDER WAY

Photobucket

Photobucket
Sorry for the HUGE pictures! Still figuring out Photobucket. This is one of the frames I got from Kenny today. I decided to try to use this frame because it was a 20 or a 24-20inch, the other was a 24inch and all my stuff goes better with the 20inch build. This was just a quick put together to see if I could do it. I have already put a different wheel and fork on after this pic. Also got a few different parts to add and change. This was just to give me an Idea! Thanks a ton to Kenny for the frames and parts! And thanks to my dad for driving down there today!

I have some wheels, but I am not sure yet since I don't have the frame yet. I am picking up the frame Friday. Then I can get busy, they actually pushed up the start date to now! So time to roll as soon as I get the frame here! Oh and the checkered flag goes too!

RIDING FOR RAVEN PROJECT.

This is the first time I have ever tried to do a project on a bike.  What I am trying to do is fix a bike for a little girl (16 years old) that is in the St. Jude Childrens  hospital in Memphis, TN.  She has cancer.  They are having an auction for her and her family.  I am planning on fixing it and lettering it to read "Riding for Raven"  her name is Raven Durbin.  Her mother is a school teacher and they are having this auction at a school.  I am hoping to have it ready to give them for auction.

ALL MY MUSCLE

Finally had some GREAT weather so I could get all my bikes out and re-do my buikding!! Look at all my muscle!! Of course I have some sissy muscle mixed in there LOL

66' Schwinn Stingray

New addition to the muscle **** Still a nice bike but looks to be a single speed, hub at least might have used to be a 2- speed??

GOT MY NEW TIRES FROM EBAY

They are VERY nice tires, but not the tread pattern I wanted. They will due until I find a good deal on the right tire. Now I don't have to look so hard. I can ride it on this tire until the right deal comes along. The flash makes the Glow Wall look crazy. So I posted on without the flash and it looks kinda crappy! They are Good Year Eagle Glow Wall tires. Now I just need my decals and later maybe rims and a new shifter!! Turning out nice, can't wait to ride it. Still need to figure out how to hook the gears up!

HOPE TO GET THIS TO ADD TO BUILD BIKE

Just bid on this on Ebay to fly behind the All American Bomber build off bike! Auction ends tomorrow. So I will know then!***I did win the bidding and got this flag. *** Hope to pick up the frame and fork from Kenny next Friday.

CHAINGUARD DESIGN FOR BUILD

This is about a 2 min drawing of my idea pretty much just to show my dad. I want to get some metal, pop rivet it to the chain guard (heavy gauge sheet metal), roll the edges so they look smooth. Then paint and letter like my car. The back part will go back and cover alot of the back wheel. I will probably have to connect it to the sissy bar to keep it from flopping! I can't wait to get the frame...Have I mentioned that LOL. Excuse the crappy drawing!

SEAT FOR MUSCLE BIKE FORUM BUILD OFF

I am building a bike to look like my race car. This is the seat I payed for today on ebay. I am still looking for a 20 or 24 inch frame from the 60's or 70's. I had one today I thought, but it turned out to be a 26in frame. Now I am waiting on a response from a guy in the forum, that had one I am waiting to hear if he has a crank and a chain guard that will fit the frame and fork he has? But I have some cool Ideas for this to make it not just a Blue and yellow bike! I can't start working on it til March 1st and we have until May 1st to finish. I really hope to get a frame soon!

CHECK THIS SEAT OUT

Found this today at a thrift style consignment shop. I thought it was really cool and the price was awesome. Now my goal is to get this to work on a bike. It is in almost great shape. The pic looks like there is a small tear in the top, but that is a little sticker leftovers. No rips or tears!

65' Huffy Camaro

Here is my latest project The 65' Huffy Camaro. I took it apart and stripped most of the paint off tonight! Just waiting for the weather to warm up to paint it! Well after I get the last few parts off. I am having some trouble with the crank, pedals, chain and fork nut! All so simple but with this bike I am struggling. I really need to get the crank off and re grease it! I would like to put new white pedals on too! I will keep working, I soaked the pedals and fork nut with WD40! Wish me luck and pass on advise if you have any!

HAD THIS BIKE BROUGHT TO ME TODAY

Thanks to our new friend Jeff from Scottsville for this bike. I am in the process of trying to figure out what this cool old bike is. Jeff came up today and brought me this bike and my dad a few others. He also picked up a bike from my dad. This bike looks like a fun project for the summer. Something to start from scratch on! Thanks again Jeff and we will keep in touch!
Jason* jotbicycles*
***I was told by Kenny from the forum that this is a 65' Huffy made, they say that several brands made the J.C.Higgins. So it may or may not be a J.C.Higgins??*** OK new info Huffy Camaro. Classicfan from the forum thought that might be it. I googled it and I found a pic, now I am 99% sure this is a 65' Huffy Camaro
